Our fly tier Jaiem Fleischmann
was born and
raised in Queens, New York. Attending Carnegie-Mellon University and Long Island
University, he has earned degrees in the fields of Computer Science and Engineering
as well as certifications in finance and business management.
Jaiem has over 30 years experience years fishing the waters of Long Island, New
Jersey, Connecticut and Massachusetts. A fly fisherman, surfcaster and
all-tackle angler
he has also
traveled extensively throughout the United States and the world fishing such famous
locations as Martha's Vineyard, Montauk Point, Cape May, Block Island, the Florida keys, Cabo San Lucas,
Baja California, Le Paz, Belize, the Turneffe Islands, the Caribbean islands, and the Mediterranean coast.

He is eager to share is knowledge and experience
with fellow fly fishers. He has written many articles that have appeared such publications
as the Nor'east Saltwater magazine and the newsletter of the Salty Flyrodders of New York,
as well as being quoted in numerous publications including the New
York Times.
Jaiem has also appeared on many occasions as a guest on The Fishing Line radio
and TV shows.
Jaiem is an active supporter and member of numerous fishing organizations
including the Salty Flyrodders of New York, Long Island Beach Buggy Association,
Montauk Surfcasters Association, Coastal Conservation Association and United
Mobile Sportfishermen.
