shrimp (aka: marsh shrimp, ghost shrimp) are a very common an important
food for all inshore game fish. This fly is highly effective for
imitating their small size and translucent bodies. The fly will take all
manner of inshore game fish including striped bass, weakfish (sea trout),
redfish (drum), flounder (fluke), snook and permit. It can be fished
either with a slow steady forward retrieve to simulate the slow swimming
of a shrimp, or as a dead-drift in a current especially at the mouth of a
creek or around a tidal marsh.
