Shrimp are a common and
important food source for many inshore game fish including redfish (drum),
sea trout (weakfish), stripers and flounder. This bright colored fly is
an excellent representation of shrimp that is commonly found in grass and
marsh environments, especially in southern waters. The fly is unweighted
so it can be fished over grass with minimal fouling. If you need to get
the fly deeper use it on an intermediate or sink-tip line. It is best
fished with a strip-pause-strip retrieve to simulate a shrimp trying to
dart away from a predator.
